Arsenal have announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder Fábio Vieira, and the comments from club technical director Edu Gasper and Italian guru journalist Fabrizio Romano suggest a big name could soon follow.
Last week, the north London club struck a surprise agreement with Porto to sign the 22-year-old playmaker, who established himself as one of the most exciting attacking midfielder in Europe over the past two years.

Following day, Porto have given Vieira the green light to undergo a medical in England before they announced his departure after completing his medical test.
And despite the Portuguese giants announced his departure, Arsenal unable to unveils him until today 21st of June.
The 22-year-old handed club Jersey Number 21, and sign a five-year deal with Arsenal, where he will hope to play a significant role under Mikel Arteta.
Vieira enjoyed a breakthrough season in his native Portugal last year, bagging six goals and 14 assists in just 27 league appearances.
The Portugal U21 star operated primarily in an attacking midfield role last term. However, his versatility also allows him to be deployed on the left or behind the striker.

After the Gunners unveils the signing of Portuguese star, Edu Gasper and Mikel Arteta talked up the coup, with the club technical director also proclaiming the north London club are expecting a strong finish to the transfer window.

Italian transfer guru journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the price Arsenal paid, tweeting the initial outlay is £30m with another £4m potentially bound for Porto pending add-ons.
Regarding who Arsenal will turn their attention to next, Fabrizio Romano indicated it’ll be full steam ahead for Gabriel Jesus.
The Man City striker is also a target for bitter rivals Tottenham. However, Fabrizio Romano added Arsenal’s ‘next step and priority’ is the Brazilian.
Meanwhile, The Athletic confirmed that, Mikel Arteta is interested in working with Raphinha, and Edu Gasper is working on getting the deal done as soon as possible.
