Video: Leeds Repudiate Arsenal £40M Bid For Raphinha As Edu Gasper Determine To Sign Brazilian This Summer


Leeds United have reportedly rejected an offer from Premier League side Arsenal for Raphinha who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona.

Arsenal’s bid “fell well below Leeds’ valuation” and was been turned down by the Whites, according to The Athletic. There’s no detail on how much the Gunners offered, but it’s been previously reported Leeds want €55m for the Brazilian.

The report adds that Arsenal’s interest in Raphinha “remains strong” but Barcelona are “known to be his favoured option” as things stand. The Catalans’ ongoing financial issues means it’s not clear if they can sign the forward this summer.

Meanwhile, reports in Spain this morning confirmed Ousmane Dembele is closer to sign new contract extension with the Catalan giants.

As a result of that, Raphinha transfer switch to Camp Nou this summer remains doubt, and it is huge boost for Mikel Arteta’s side, who keen on strengthen their front-line with additional of Brazilian star.

Fabrizio Romano also confirmed Arsenal proposal while The Athletic reveals this evening that, Edu Gasper had a good relationship with Raphinha representative and is urge to strike the deal over Spurs and Chelsea, who also believed interested in signing the 25-year-old winger.
